About Me
Juta Chernik is an Irish Latvian-born illustrator, tattoo artist and author. Having obtained her BA in English and Art History from UCD, her primary goal is now becoming a published author. Her latest work The Devil’s Last Regret is a Gothic romance novel that focuses on a young woman’s journey to overcoming trauma and embodying all aspects of herself, both light and dark. Juta’s influences for her writing come from Victorian Gothic literature and local folktales. She hopes to create a body of work that will speak to people of a similar mind and let them know that they are not alone, and that darkness can be overcome by the power within them.
In her spare time, Juta creates magical illustrations. Her favourite subjects for drawing are fantasy, animals, nature and witchcraft, as well as fanart. She currently makes a living working as a tattoo artist in a private studio in Latvia.

Blanket Designs
A collaboration with SpellCloth, in which I designed these blankets showing four different aspects of witchcraft.
Music Video
I collaborated with the awesome industrial metal artist Biotype Seven to create a music video featuring my drawings and animations. The video showcases a corrupt government's unorthodox solution to an infestation of mutated rats.
